A letter from the founder

My name is Stephen Deason, and I am both a seasoned business executive and a person in long-term Recovery.

I took a traditional path to Recovery. Despite my training and experience, Recovery was difficult. In particular, finding a position that both paid the bills and allowed flexibility for the self-work I needed to truly engage in my Recovery was tremendously challenging.

At one point, I had the opportunity to lead a turn-around, I knew that – selfishly – I needed people in relatively early Recovery around me so that I could stay sober.

What happened next surprised me. First, the young people I employed made tremendous employees – providing work far in excess of what I would have anticipated given their experience and rate of pay.  Second, every single one of them stayed sober – and so did I.

There’s a “game-changer” in there somewhere.

My lived experience both as a business executive and as a person in long-term Recovery tells me a few things: we may be onto something here, and  we can take two perceived “problems” and put them together into a workable solution that benefits both investors and our society.

That’s our goal here at The OPARASA Group, LLC.  We leverage capitalism to build worth in Recovery for all our constituents.

Love and Prayers,

Stephen
